BidMyLoan

Back
Bid My Loan “I enjoy working with a PR team that’s fast and nimble, is always available, has an in-depth understanding of the media, and is consistently professional.”

Declan Murphy, CEO, BidMyLoan

BidMyLoan is the first home-loan service of its kind in Australia: an online marketplace where lenders bid for consumers’ mortgages.

BidMyLoan approached The Ideas Suite to launch its brand in Australia – and generate sales leads – through an ongoing PR campaign, particularly media relations.

Strategy
The strategic public relations approach was to generate awareness of the benefits of using BidMyLoan through the voices of its own customers. Secondly, The Ideas Suite sought to increase the credibility of the service by leveraging the CEO’s home-loan expertise.

A third PR approach was to establish BidMyLoan as a service in touch with the needs of property buyers by disseminating information on buyer attitudes about home loans.

Results
The Ideas Suite produced outstanding PR results – not only in media coverage, but also in direct sales. In the first three months of PR activity, The Ideas Suite secured more than 45 media stories, with BidMyLoan reaching an audience of more than 21,000,000.Media coverage included the Daily Telegraph, Sun-Herald, Sunday Age, A Current Affair, Extra (Channel Nine), Sky Business News, the West Australian, Courier-Mail, Sunday Mail and Sydney Morning Herald.
