WhistleOut is one of Australia’s leading comparison websites, offering the most tailored comparisons for mobile phone and broadband plans, mortgages, credit cards and more. Designed to empower consumers, the site evaluates complex products and services in a simple way. Comparing offers from a mix of big and small brands, WhistleOut finds the best fit, not just the cheapest price.
Strategy
In the first four months of PR, The Ideas Suite focused on a media relations campaign using new product comparisons, analyses at different price points and leveraging director Cameron Craig as a consumer spokesperson for internet, mobile phones and credit cards.
Results
The Ideas Suite achieved widespread media coverage, including spokesperson interviews on Sky Business and ABC News 24, and radio appearances on 2UE, 2GB and ABC Radio National. Print media was equally successful with editorial features in Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian Financial Review, Herald Sun and more. WhistleOut comparisons are regularly featured on news.com.au, Fairfax Digital and leading technology and news websites. In the first three months, editorial coverage reached a (repeat) audience of 13 million with an advertising value of $217,387, and a (repeat) online audience of more than 17 million.
