Award-winning Australian travel insurance provider Insure&Go has brought back its popular Annual Multi Trip insurance policy for business and leisure travellers to meet the strong growth in international travel from Australia. The policy provides coverage for unlimited overseas trips within a 12-month period.
More Aussies went on international trips in October 2024 (the most recent data available[1]) than any time since 2020, according to the Federal Government. In October 2024, 4.3 million international seats were made available, which increased by 10.2 per cent on the previous October.
How it works – and benefits
As the name suggests, multi-trip insurance allows travellers to be covered from the moment their first trip starts – then remain covered throughout the next 12 months for any additional trips. This means it can be more cost-effective than taking out individual insurance policies for each trip.
While there is no limit to the number of additional trips covered, the policy offers coverage for a maximum duration of 30, 45 or 60 days per trip within the 12 months. Please refer to the terms and conditions in the PDS for detailed information including duration, destinations, and age limitations. This type of cover reduces your travel admin – rather than going through the hassle of booking separate insurance policies for each trip – means that unexpected cancellations, disruptions and incidents can be covered for each trip throughout the year subject to any applicable exclusions and conditions, giving travellers added peace of mind.
Insure&Go’s Annual Multi Trip insurance provides the following coverage (limits apply):
- Unlimited medical and hospital expenses outside Australia
- Emergency medical evacuation or repatriation costs
- Coverage for complications of pregnancy and dental treatment (limits apply)
- Trip cancellation coverage (up to the insured amount, depending on the policy level)
- Expenses for cutting trips short or additional emergency expenses (such as for family emergencies or disasters)
- Travel delay compensation
- Coverage for lost, stolen or damaged belongings (limits vary based on the policy tier)
- COVID-19 coverage
- Legal expenses and personal liability (coverage amounts vary)
- Pet care if delayed returning home
- Rental car excess waiver (available for certain levels)
- Business cover for equipment, samples and emergency courier expenses
How to purchase Insure&Go’s Annual Multi-Trip policy
Business and leisure travellers who are looking for peace of mind across multiple international trips this year should head to the Insure&Go website[2], select the Annual Multi Trip option, add in when their first trip starts, whether their international trip includes the Americas or Antarctica, followed by whether they are travelling as an individual or as a couple or family, and the age of everybody who will be travelling.
Users then have the choice to select the 30-, 45-, or 60-day total trip duration options based on the maximum length of one of their trips.
For instance, a 30-year-old person travelling as an individual multiple times to Asia and Europe from June 2025 to June 2026 is likely to pay a premium of $494.90 to $681.44, depending on their maximum total trip length[3].
